Link has the most boring spell animation ever. It affects the target with a fire dot and yourself with a heal dot, and that's it. I'm not sure what to replace it with as the effect itself doesn't really seem logical to me, but as it stands now it's pretty underwhelming to watch.

genie-balance spell-a lamp comes out and a giant genie appears and gives you all 7 kinds of blades and heals you. also it hits all enimies.
moon over-death spell-three balls appear all made out of shadow and shot into the air forming a moon that hurts 3 enimies with shadows and the moon uses moon dust to heall 3 people.
bernie-fire spell- bernie the fire tree appears out of the ground and shoots fire damage over an enime.
present-ice spell- a present pops out of nowhere and an ice storm absorbs all enemies spells for that turn and the enimies hurt themselves.
water orb-storm spell-this protects you from all balance and myth spell.
caging rose- traps one enime in the middle of the playing field nobody can flee and no shields just hurting attacks on the person
aphrodite-myth spell-this kills one person with the touch of aphrodite the love gods touch.
I disagree. "Minor Blessing" has the most boring spell animation ever. Last time I checked, there wasn't even an animation. Perhaps the animation could be Roman Candle-like sparkles around the target.
I would like to see some more realistic reactions from mobs you are fighting. let me explaine; add in emotion face/body language animation when a mob is hit let them show it more than just when they die, like they look more and more beat up and/or bloody, maybe an arm come loose and is hanging there or a piece of armor etc. have the face have a pain/agoney look as to the impact the spell does.
I'm a bit late to the party, I know, but: I'd like to see all spells/summons have two or more animations. Just as a way to put some more variety into combats, especially with low-card-count Decks.
I think an excellent idea for lightning would be at some point summoning Zeus. Also, for the ice wizard, I would have a spell called "Cold heart" Where it summons an ice cupid which will then hit the monster and cause them severe damage. Also an idea would be to have a summon that could hit more than one monster (I'm unsure if this exists). Another would be a healing towards people you are with (Once again this might exist). i'm a grandmaster sorcerer and i've found that my spectral blast is my most powerful spell, even better than hydra unfortunately! i'd like to see SOMETHING different about spectral blast since i depend on it more than anything else.. it's just so boring! it's like a zoomed in wand attack! does anyone else agree with me on this?

I agree IMO; the higher up the card is, the better the animation should be. It also would reward the person with a mind blowing special effect visual also showing others that the magi is a high up charactor kinda like bragging rights. :P
Hey there, as a member of the balance school I have a simple request... and that is any animation for Helping Hand. Most people don't even seem to notice that I am healing them when I cast it.
As for actual animation suggestions? Well, maybe a mander or a krok pops in and waves at you... it doesn't have to be fancy, just something. Although my personal favorite for it would be like the swords wands or monster attacks where you fade out and do an animation even though it would be a bit odd when you cast it on yourself.
I do have a guilty request as well, and that would be for Dragonblade to have an animation. I know it was a free present and I love Lucy no matter what (Lucy is my dragon's name), but it would differentiate Dragonblade from my normal balanceblade a bit and there are an infinate possibilities for cool animations.
This isn't quite what the question is asking, but my suggestion would be to shorten the length of most of the animations. Or maybe only do the full length for severe damage. Or just have an option to turn them off or minimize them.
Particularly at low levels, when you only have a few spells available to you, the animations get old fast, and the battles take a long time because of them, making the game a little repetitive. I don't know how much this bothers others, but I've found it hard to find the time to start over since the wipe because I get bored every time I have a battle with any non-boss characters until I get about 15-20 levels and have more spell options.
I whole-heartedly agree. When I've got more than 1 mob and I know they are about to start doing long castings, I'm up emptying the trash, putting dishes away, taking potty breaks, etc. Ultimately, it's that I'm away from my screen and not watching the battles because they and are tedious after you've seen them the first few times.
I wouldn't mind an option to turn off the animations, to speed up the battles a bit.

You guys do realize that wouldn't work. Unless there's a whole server with the spell animations off, just having an option to toggle it off wouldn't speed anything up. While everyone who doesn't use this option is watching the animations, you'll be sitting there twiddling your thumbs watching nothing.
I think animations are cute and fun to watch once or twice but then I basically tune them out and am only interested in the spell's effect. So, personally, I'd rather the programmers spent time on other improvements that are sorely needed, like the ability to change key setting perhaps and make it so I can strafe. I open my quest log about once every 2 or 3 minutes trying to sidestep to the left >_<

I agree with those up there, I would really appreciate this spell to have a little more interesting animation. I like how the sturm version of spectral blast clashes upon the ground and shoots sparkles out. That one could get zoomed a bit out and there could be more sparkling lightnings. I too, do not like the zooming. Yes, it looks like a zoomed normal wand attack. I do not mind a complete change in animation of this spell. I would not miss the old animation.
fire cat: The way fire cat comes out is to boring the way I would do it is: Fire cat comes out of a pet carrier roars or meows and then attacks the same way he does now. please consider my request.
can you please change the way blood bat appears I don't find him amusing at all this is how I would do it:
blood bat: I would do it like this, a cave comes out of the ground and a swarm of bats comes out after they are all gone the biggest one comes out and attacks with one of the following:1) Bites the oponet(weak) 2) Uses sound waves to call upon more blood bats who attacks the oponet(normal) or 3) blood bat bites a bug and posinus juice damages the oponet's health(strong). Please consider my request.
Flash spells, more shock value. When you use it, it's like huh? So what I would like to see when I use a flash(cards in bottom sidebar) is for the npc to shake as if they are getting shock or frozen or what ever school element that is.
Hmmm...i have a new treasure card idea or possibly a spell u can actually get in the future. i was thinking something for ice school. An ice dragon would be awesome. it could fly around the field or around the opponent and for the attack it could charge or shoot something out of its mouth.
Spectral Blast is a little boring so here's my idea:
You cast the spell and if ice is chosen for the blast, Lydia Greyrose would appear and attack the enemy. And if fire was chosen, Dalia Falmea would appear, and if storm was chosen, Halston Balestrom would appear.
