As for October, we had a fantastic month that saw the release of the new Spooky Carnival Bundle and the updated 2017 Gloomthorn Hoard Pack.
There were new Crown Shop items and old favorites to help celebrate the spooky times of October. We hope you had a great time in the Spiral and were happy to hear about successful events like the annual “Halloween Run.”

Developer Spotlight: Erik McKenney
Favorite thing about Wizard101: The story. I really enjoy exploring all the different worlds and I love the combat, but it’s the story that keeps me logging in year after year. The parts dealing with the lore of Spiral are the parts I enjoy the most.
Favorite thing about working at KingsIsle: My co-workers are my favorite part of working at KingsIsle. They are fun, creative and entertaining to say the least. It is like getting to work with your best friends every day and while making some of the coolest environments in any MMO. I count myself very lucky to be a part this amazing team.
Who is your hero? Bruce Campbell
What motivates you to work hard? My son.
What is your favorite book to read?Guards! Guards by Terry Pratchett [Book 8 in the Discworld Series]
What did you want to be when you were small? Marine Biologist

Helping Hands for Gamers
Game Day Here We Come!
In last month’s newsletter we talked about our Extra Life efforts to help raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. (Click here to read about it.) Time is quickly running out to raise money and the November 4th game day is right around the corner!
We’ve already blown past our goal of $5,000 and hope to see us go even higher this year! Please join us in supporting this great cause, and don’t forget that you could earn fantastic prizes while raising money.
This is a chance to get a new yet-to-be-announced bundle before most people have it, and if you’re living in a different country that doesn't usually see bundles until they’re in our online stores, that can be a very attractive proposition! Of course what really matters is that you’re helping kids while having fun.

This month’s screenshot was a lineup that *screamed* the holiday season. Even better, our screenshot artist’s name is . . . wait for it . . . Keller SoulThief. He’s a wizard that lives up to his name! Just look at his collection of haunting souls in this chilling picture. You can tell it took quite a bit of work perfectly lining up all his stolen souls. Nice shot!
