I've been doing castle magic for awhile, and when I realized that Fast Magic Timers had been added and I completely missed them, I decided to play around with them. I quickly realized, however, that the Fast Magic Timers, while turning invisible outside of Decorate mode, are unable to be walked through. Every other invisible castle magic item has no collision at all, so something must be off with this one.
