beastmoon hunt does not give points for players who fled

When a player is facing an imminent defeat for a ring they often flee, rather than getting "killed" in the next round or so. The winning players do not get the points for "defeating opponents" when this happens and they only get the points for capturing the ring.

Fleeing during a battle should be counted as defeat, and the points should be awarded.

Most of the time it is, however there is a card which circumvents this. This may be what you are seeing.

It does for the battle points (score at the top). What they are referring to are the Scroll of Fortune Points that pop up after defeating a player. I echo the OP sentiment.

most of the time thats not the card just fleeing to gain 10 sec on the timer

the card apply at the end of the turn you become transparent

I have encountered the same thing lately. The Flee with no Penalty card should only be for the person that flees not having to wait for the penalty time in base camp. It should not penalize the opponent that would have gained game points for the win of the fight. Flee or die, the other side still won that fight.
