Beastmoon Hunt Spiral battle not calculating right

So we were playing the Beastmoon hunt and the scores were Blue 88 and Red 98. Red had all the outer rings: Eye, Star, Sun, and Moon. There was a battle for the Spiral ring in play. Now the Spiral ring is supposed to be worth 25 points. So we all figure we would just wait to see the results of the battle rather than trying to get the outer rings and give red a chance to win by simply standing on a ring for 30 seconds. This is a sound strategy. Battle rages on and 2 are beaten on the Blue Side and 3 on the Red Side but nobody is fleeing because nobody wants to give the opposing team points by fleeing. The final 2 Blue beat the last Red. The scores should have been 113 to 98 with Blue winning. But that's not what happened. Red was given the 2 points they needed to win and Blue was given 6 points making the score 94 to 100 with Red winning. Why would the losing team be given any points from the battle? It didn't happen in any other battle.

From my understanding, defeats count as 1 point, regardless of who wins the match. Those points are calculated after the match has ended. Red won because they defeated two Blue players, even though they lost the match itself.

Your right, fleeing would have ended the match immediately.

In that scenario, Blue needed to win Spiral match without any defeats on Blue side in order to win the whole game.
