Every time you go to the Bazaar and buy a housing item or spend your money on filling up your potions, think about how that money could be saved up to buy the item you so desire.
Be smart about selling your excess items at the Bazaar rather than a regular shopkeeper or right out of your backpack - you'll get more gold for your items at the Bazaar.
Spend some time defeating creatures purely for the items and gold they drop.
Before you know it, you will have saved up enough money to purchase the item you want, just like everyone else did, young Wizard.
