So, there's some appeal to not having to pick your own name only to have it turn out to be taken, and there's some fun in mixing and matching the words on those three wheels and trying to come up with names of actual characters...Patrick Star, Taylor Swift, Luke SkyWalker, yada yada...
I mean, we got lots of common names, lots of uncommon names, lots of room for creatively naming our characters, like Devin Dark, the Necromancer, or Dustin Wind the Sorcerer...
Or uncreatively naming our characters after iconic characters, like Jack Frost the Thaumaturge, or perhaps naming them after mildly recognisable characters from a mildly popular movie that nobody talks about, like Timothy Green the Theurgist...
Here's the thing though; I think we could use some more options.
It's a nice system. Prevents people from naming their characters some random combination of letters and numbers or some jazz because the name they wanted was taken or they really couldn't be bothered, like "Wizardx1sab" or "Anthonyba16" or something drag like that.
"Master of Darkness" or the billion other cheesy/corny names people might come up with are also thankfully avoided...
I mean, I'd sort of like Greg and Gregory to make the list... Maybe add Odd, Strange, and Wierd into those second two wheels.
Maybe let people arrange the order, so instead of "Devin DarkCaster" they can call themselves "DarkCaster Devin"
Maybe allow a space between Dark and Caster, or remove the capitalization that occurs mid last name for whatever reason...
What names and words would you like to see added? What changes would you like to see with the name system?
I'd also like to see more customizable faces and colors and hairstyles, and I'm sure most of us would agree about that.
