I'm having alot of trouble with loading. I started playing the game, and I went to DragonSpyre to do a few quests. A person I needed to talk to wouldn't load after a long time, and it bothered me alot that I couldn't continue a main quest. A few minutes later, I was looking in the options box. I wanted to try out a few things, such as high detail, particles, ect. to see how it would effect my computer. Neither of these loaded, so I logged out and attempted to log back in. It loaded normally, but at the end of it high detail was downloading. Now, I can't help my friends do Big Ben.

Should I just wait for it to load or do something else?

There are a few things that could be causing a slow load, the most obvious one is a slow internet connection.
Make sure you aren't downloading anything else in the background such as music or streaming a video. There's only so much bandwidth and if you take it up with other things, Wizard101 will load slowly.

If you continue to experience this issue, our support team can help you but you need to contact us at support@wizard101.com and when you contact support, please ensure that you give us:
->the account name
->the character name
->your dxdiag file
->as much information about what you encountered as you can, including error messages or screenshots

NEVER send us:
->your password
->your full credit card information

The more information you give up front, the faster your issue can be resolved. It can take up to 48 hours before you receive a response.

A DxDiag is a utility designed to display the specifications of your computer hardware, as well as to test DirectX software, including sound and video. If you are asked for this information, it helps the support group relate your gaming issue to your personal computer.

To create a dxdiag.txt just go to Start -> Run (or Search in Vista) and enter dxdiag and click OK. Once the program has run its course, click "Save all Information" and it will output a txt file that you can attach to your email.

Or even your anti-virus software. I know when mine does updates it slows the game down. I've figured out how to get around that by scheduling updates and scans differently, but you may want to look into that too. :)
