Text Problem ((Possible Graphic Issue))

So here's my problem. All the text that appears above people, objects, etc that should be white or a lighter color so it's easy to read, is appearing in a dark color, like pitch black. It makes it very difficult to read even with the brightness in the game turned all the way up. This hasn't always been the case, just when I recently re-installed Wizard101. I'm not sure if it's a problem with my graphic's card or not, considering I didn't have this issue before. Any suggestions on how to solve this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Let's start with making sure that your video drivers are up to date - last time this happened most of the occurrences were solved with updated drivers.

It's very easy (but takes several steps to figure out what it is):

1. Determine the manufacturer of your video or Audio card

A) Video > Open your control panel, click on "Display" > "Settings" tab > "Advanced" > "Adapter" > "Properties" > "Driver" tab.

B) Audio > Open your control panel, click on "Sounds and Audio Devices" > "Hardware" tab > "Devices" > Click on the audio device then > "Properties" > "Driver" tab.

2. Write down the Driver Provider and Driver Version.

3. Go to the driver manufacturer's website and locate your particular computer and download the newest driver (you can check the latest driver they post with the driver version you have, if it's the same, then don't bother with the download - likely they've come out with a new one since last you updated though). If you have Windows 7, you can open device manager, and right click on the device. You can pick Update drivers from this as well.

After updating the driver, reboot your computer and hopefully, all is right in Wizard City!

PS: You can bypass all this by sending us a dxdiag & we'll determine your driver and send you the link to update if necessary:

To create a dxdiag.txt just go to Start -> Run (or Search in Vista) and enter dxdiag and click OK. Once the program has run it's course, click "Save all Information" and it will output a txt file that you can attach to your ticket. You can send us a ticket via the "Contact Us" tab above.

How do I submit a dxdiag to Wizard101 support?

Some of the common video drivers (** Some laptop and even proprietary desktop manufacturers do not recommended or support driver updates from the video driver manufacturer's websites. Please refer to the computer manufacturer's website first (where applicable) for information pertaining to video driver updates. ):

CaptainWarheart, we had this same problem when Zafaria was added to the game. All overhead names appeared in Black lettering instead of the normal colors. It is possible that you need to update your graphics driver. Professor Greyrose has given several links just for that purpose. The unfortunate problem is that for some of us, we already have the latest drivers for our graphics so when this kind of thing happens, we really hope that it is something KI can fix on their end.

I started a thread on this a few days ago to see if anyone else was having the same problems again. (below is the link to that thread). I also submitted a report to support the same day. I received an email back from them friday stating they are trying to fix it again. Just be patient it will take a few days.
