Sadly, the very, very, flawed way that PvP is did not change one bit when Wintertusk came out.
However, Wintertusk did introduce new gear to the PvP enviornment, some of which has a higher critical rate then waterworks gear. It also brought level 58 pets and level 55 spells into PvP, making it more complicated and fun.
