As I wrote in another thread, I believe people who have paid for 1+ yrs worth of subscription should be classified under a new category if they are unable to renew for whatever personal reason and should be able to explore all of Wizard City.
Having played and paid over 100$, that in itself would be far more then to pay to explore Firecat, Cyclops and Colossal. Once a subscriber hits the year mark, they would be added to the new category, say Extended Trial, where due to their continued support of Wizard 101, they are able to freely roam Wizard City.
I just feel a person would be gypped for paying for so long, only to be able to explore a couple areas.

you also get to explore all of the other worlds so quit whining
Wondoo, I wasnt whining, so please do not be rude.
I made a suggestion for those who put in a good amount of money and help support KI/Wizard financially, that they should be allowed access to all of WC. People who pay for one month also have access to every inch of Spiral as well, but havent shown the commitment that long time users have.
If you think I am one user who has spent the year on this game and whose subscription is running out, well I am not. I have only been here about a month and a half, but for those who have been here since the beginning, they deserve more access then 2 battle streets (3 if you can still access Nightside).
Preferred customers usually get better treatment and more perks then first time customers. There is nothing wrong with rewarding people for continued support.

If I understand you correctly, you are stating that KI should allow people who have been paying players in the past, but are not now paying, to have access to pay only areas.
Sorry, but preferred customers are people who are paying customers. KI is very generous in having a payment structure for access to various parts of the game. They have discounted the year subscription many times throughout the year to make the game available and affordable to the players.
A company will have preferred customers who have an ongoing financial arrangement with the company. What I think you are describing is a "free handout" of services to people who are not paying. "Continued support" means that the player is paying for the service and then is entitled to "better treatment and more perks".
I wonder how those companies that supply various services like: garbage collection, natural gas, electricity, water, sewage, phone, cable would respond to this idea. I have been a paying customer in the past, so if I stop paying them would they continue the service for free?
If KI would do what you have suggested, the game would not have financial support and would cease to exist.
Sorry, to play you have to pay. By paying you are continuing to support the game. Players who pay nothing do not support the game - they are getting a "free ride" in limited areas.
When I could not afford a subscription I bought crowns in whatever amount I could. The areas I opened with crowns are permanently open. Crowns essentially do what you are suggesting. They have a ton of different amounts you can buy. Plus there are gift cards that supply crowns. I don't see KI doing this. If all else fails you can invite friends to join and earn crowns if they do end up joining.
Ok Wondoo you are being rude and you aren't adding anything helpful to the post.
To the OP, because you spent the 60$ for a year's subscription doesn't necessarily make you a preferred customer. I have been paying for 2 accounts on a family plan for over a year and a half and added two more to that this past March. Not to mention the countless crowns I have bought for me, my husband, and both of my children. Given the amount of time and money we, as a family, put into this game, I would DEFINITELY say we are dedicated players. Contrary to what you stated earlier.
Now, to the actual point of this topic. KI has designated a certain amount of Wizard City for their free to play players. Once your year runs out, you have the option of either renewing your subscription or playing in only these specific areas. I think the amount of game play you get without having to spend a dime is fairly generous. I have come across games that you couldn't even access without some type of payment in advance. And I don't see these free areas expanding.
Lastly, if you have only been playing a few months, why is this an issue? You still have a long time to go before your subscription runs out and at that point you have already decided to either continue on with the game or quit. Free to play areas shouldn't be a concern and no one group of people should be treated better than another. Either you are a crowns player, a subscription player, or a free player. Each have their own guidelines as to where they are permitted.
