I'm a level 41 necromancer, I started DS last week, or maybe a few weeks ago. But am I too much of a lower level for DS? From what I see, there are level 43's still in MS.
So am I too young and should I go back to MS and do side quests?

This is just me but, whenever I finish a world i do all the side quests of that world. for example: When I finished Marleybone, before i did anything in Mooshu, I did all my quests left in Marleybone. I suggest this to you just because it gives you some experience and takes the drama out of saying: "I really want to do some stuff in Dragonspyre but i still have quests in Mooshu! What should I do?!" So yeah.....

People are over and under lvled a lot. But it really doesnt matter. There is no "actual" lvl that you should be at to be on any world. Forget the fact you "might" be under-lvled. It all depends on the sidequests. People that do side-quests mostly, usually end up being over-lvled. But its up to you wether you wanna side-quest first. It really doesnt matter, so honestly, you should be at the lvl you are at.

The average levels for each of the worlds are

Wizard City:0 to 15

Krok:15 to 25

Marleybone:25 to 35

Mooshu:35 to 45

Dragonspyre: 45 to 50

Grizzleheim: 0 to 50

There is really no need to worry.I got to Mooshu on level 29.(I still don't know how)It all depends on your tactics and stratigies.Good luck in this dangerous world.

this is how it goes,

WC:1-15
KT:15-27
MB:27-36
MS:36-43
DS:43-50
GH:20-50

and still it says that you have to be lvl 20 to go to GH anyways.

i went to krok at level 15 cause i didnt have mebership till then, so here's how i say it should go:

Wizard City: 0-14-16
Krokotopia:16-28
Marleybone:28-33
Mooshu:33-42
Dragonspyre:42-50
Grizzleheim:20-50

but it doesnt really matter in this order, just let time go by and let it do what it does :P

I came into ds at 40 so your not alone. It doesn't matter. I'm not doing sidequests until I beat Malistaire because they just take up time. Then again you have to do sidequests in ms to get the 8th Obsidian Chest...

You're better off being over-leveled than under-leveled, and I'll tell you why: Side quests (and storyline quests, for that matter) are MUCH more difficult and long in DS. Besides that, you get around the same amount per quest in MS, maybe a little more even. The big difference is that in MS you may get sent to kill 6-8 of random things, but in DS you have to instance into a tower with multiple levels while you kill 2-3 things per level, all the while being unable to leave without it resetting and you starting from scratch.

My advice - milk MS for all it's worth. Talk to every person with a yellow exclamation and do exactly what they say. When you get to Dragonspyre, it all becomes a much longer journey. If you can get to 50 with only doing storyline quests and quests that open up stone roses, you're ahead of the pack.

Actually Here's how it goes, because most schools have to gain more xp to level up. For example storm. When I did my storm character i finished KT at lvl 24. On my death I finished KT at lvl 25. I still did the same number of side quests on both.

Here's the levels for every world.

Wizard City- 0 - 13, 14, or 15
Krokotopia- 13, 14, or 15 - 24 or 25
MarleyBone- 24 or 25 - 28 (If you do no side quests) or 34 (if you do side quests)
Mooshu- 28 or 34 - 39 (if you do barely any side quests) or 43
Dragon Spyre- 39 or 43 - 50
GrizzleHeim- 20 - 50

Well i finished Mooshu at level 39. I entered Dragonspyre with much difficulty. Now i am level 42 working on the Drake Hatchery. I sometimes go back to Marleybone, Mooshu, or sometimes even Krok to finish those side quests i missed ( just have side stuff in the Well of Spirits for the Krok side stuff). I also wanna get those badges from there so i will have a wide variety of them. The side tasks give good rep and i HIGHLY recommend doing them and not be like me and skip some and do some because they're very very helpful
