2019 Halloween Decorating Contest

BOO! Get the cobwebs out of the attic and candy out of the cupboards, because it's time to celebrate Halloween in spooky style! Put your decorating skills to the test in our new 2019 Halloween Decorating Contest! This contest is for both the Wizard101 and Pirate101 communities.

Share your ghoulish creations as instructed below throughout the contest period. You’ll get a chance to win some great prizes, plus receive tons of design tips from your fellow players. We’ll even be featuring contest winners this October 31st on KI Live! Since the show is on Halloween, we may even have a few of our developers transform into nightmarish creatures for the show.

SETTING THE SCENE

For decorating, choose a Dorm or Bunkhouse... sorry palace/ship fans!
Ask other players for advice. Feel free to even involve them in your screenshot!
Edit: We're removing the need to say Happy Halloween! so you can remove the UI if you wish.

HOW TO ENTER

Share your top screenshot on as many of your game’s social media pages as you like using the hashtag #KingsIsleHalloween. We have accounts on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
If you prefer, you can also email your submission to community@kingsisle.com.
Include your character name and tell us something special about your decorated place. Please limit descriptions to 100 words max.

THE PRIZES

After the submission deadline, we will review all valid entries and award the following:

Wizard101

1 Grand Ghoul: 30,000 Crowns + Obsidian Mimic Pet + Spider Rider Mount
2 Runner-Up Spiders: 20,000 Crowns + Obsidian Mimic
5 Honorable Zombies: 10,000 Crowns

Pirate101

1 Grand Ghoul: 30,000 Crowns + HooDoo Bundle!
2 Runner-Up Spiders: 20,000 Crowns + Haunted Galleon
5 Honorable Zombies: 10,000 Crowns

You may only win once in total between both games. Winners will be announced on October 31st on KI Live!

CAPTURE TIPS

Set your PC’s graphics settings to high and ensure the resolution is maxed (preferably 1920x1080 if you have the option).
Frame the scene for that “wow factor”. Consider lighting and location of items.
Feel free to include some friends in the shot for added flair.
You can also use Photomancy to remove the UI by pressing the ‘Z’ key, or for manual capture, press Ctrl+G to turn off icons.

CONTEST RULES

Entries must be submitted before 11:59pm US Central time on Sunday, October 27, 2019. Entries must be entirely original creations made by you and your friends. If you are under 13 years of age, ask your parent or guardian permission to participate. One entry per person per game. Group submissions will award the submitter.

A committee of judges will be formed at KingsIsle and any tie breakers will be resolved by the committee. Any disputes or disagreements in the community on who ultimately won will NOT be tolerated as an open discussion in official areas. Anyone attempting to subvert the contest in any way is subject to an immediate suspension and/or disqualification from the contest. Inappropriate or vulgar entries are prohibited and will also result in immediate disqualification.

No Purchase Necessary. One Entry Per Person. This is a skill-based contest. Void where prohibited by law. Affidavit of eligibility / release of liability / prize acceptance agreement may be required.
