You've spent hours and lots of energy to train your pets up, now it's time to put them to the test in the Pet Derby
Once your pet has become a teen, it can participate in the Pet Derby!

All pets in the Pet Derby race around a track for two laps, and must overcome and bypass obstacles to the best of their abilities. Pets can even create obstacles for other pets!

Your pet gains morale by overcoming obstacles. You can spend that morale to cheer your pet and make it go faster, so spend it wisely! Click here to learn more about the Derby.

After playing all those strenuous minigames and duels, your pets have much bigger appetites than those measly snacks can fulfill, so don't forget to feed your pets items that you have in your backpack!

You have the ability to feed your currently equipped pet any item* that's in your inventory and receive a variety of rewards ranging from gold, to treasure cards, to rare reagents, and occasionally even pet experience. Every item that is fed to a pet can either return gold, an item, or pet stats.
*excludes other pets, mounts and houses

Feeding a pet equipment & housing items is done through a simple 'Feed' button that appears next to the ‘Trash’ button in your backpack. You can only feed a pet while it is equipped and you will get a confirmation window similar to the trash button. So start feeding your pets all those extra items that are taking up space in your backpack!

  Welcome to the June installment of my Book of the Month Club. These books have been suggested by a fellow Librarian from Earth, her name is Kit Ward-Crixell and she is a librarian in New Braunfels, Texas, USA.

This month the book we recommend is The Viper's Nest (The 39 Clues series, book 7) by Peter Lerangis.

If you haven't started reading this great series of books about siblings Amy and Dan Cahill and their high-stakes worldwide treasure hunt, you will probably want to start with book 1, The Maze of Bones by Rick Riordan.

But even if you don't, check out book 7, where Dan and Amy travel to Africa and learn about Shaka Zulu, the great Zulu warrior. Look on the 39 Clues website for lots of activities too!

Look for this book in your school or local library and enjoy reading, young Wizards!
