Tickets from pet derby

Why is that you get like 28 tickets per win in ranked pvp, but only like 3 tickets for a win in ranked pet derby.

I don't do derby but I would imagine it's because of rank. A Warlord in PvP gets like 14-18 tickets for losing to a Private, the same winning Private only gets 4 tickets for beating the Warlord.
