I liked how mirage "Test Realm" released in two parts.
They released part one two weeks before part two. Mirage was really "long" compared to Polaris.
So breaking it into two parts helped overcome the, "this is really long, I want to get this over with syndrome". It allow me to enjoy both parts better, what do you think? The boss(scorpion) seemed in part one a little more challenging, but made a bit easier after part two was released.
Re: Should KI do a two part release of next world?
I was thinking along the lines of November part one and December part two. Gives us a two quest parts to look forward to. Good for holidays/school time off questing. Since more people would be on during those times, people could help others finish their quests. Make the holidays more exciting.

I think you're a big confused on what a two part world is...
The only world to be ever released in two parts before Empyrea was Khrysalis, with Part 1 being released in November and Part 2 then coming in April. Mirage was not split into two parts, as Kingsisle just happened to keep the final fights from us while it was still in Test Realm.
If you're talking about the nerf that happened to Mirage, it got nerfed on January 25th almost two months after the world was on Live.
Empyrea Part 1 is currently on Test Realm with an expected release sometime in November. If Kingsisle follows what they did with Khrysalis, then we can expect Part 2 to come in April. However, Kingsisle only ever seems to release one world a year every November nowadays...
