I thought about the story arc so far I was thinking would it not be great to end the arc in a version of Pompeii. After emperiya. Grand father spider could try to melt the spiral but fails so he only burns a city
Honestly, that just reminds me of the end to the 1st arc, where we learn the Grandmother of Dragons tried to destroy Dragonspyre with her dragon children and fire. Dragonspyre does remind me of a Roman type military world, and with it being destroyed by fire has a Pompeii-style feel to it.
Well dragonspyre is Rome because the necropolis used to be a dark city. But it does not strike me enough as Pompeii for them not to make a new world called Pompeii. Or they could replace Pompeii with mount Saint Helens would work to
