i think trading gear, items, mounts, gardening supplies to others is a great thing to have, if they are of appropriate level. I find no bad reason to, sometimes the player misses an event and you have a spare stuff they like but can't give it to them, it feels terrible. Me I have a collection of wands that I hang from loots that deserve the right person, not by auction.
