Potent Trap TC and Amber are needed for higher level crafting recipes, such as Eagle War Shield and the Winter Moon Spell. Make Potent Trap TC and Amber easier to obtain for the wizards that are raising their Crafting Tier.
Well Potent Trap TC is given as a quest reward in Azteca, and Amber is not hard to farm for. Just go take on Gladiator or Cronus, as both bosses drop both things pretty regularly. If you have lots of time, King Parsley and Ultra KP are good plants to farm for amber, with Professor Greyrose having said in the past that White Tiger Lillies have the highest drop rate of amber. I agree that the potent trap TC, specifically, is annoying to get if you, like me, sold it before you started thinking about doing crafting, but it isnt too hard and the bosses to farm are run pretty regularly with cheats that arent too bad.

Potent Trap is not as hard to get today as it was a few short years ago. At one point we had to just flat out FARM for it. Today, there is a Potent Trap TC reward for the completion of this quest: "Broken Idols" This is a Story Line quest.
