We don't have one because there's no balance shield.
I know there isn't a balance shield I said this because the balance bosses have like 80 resist in avalon or anywhere for that matter and it would help ( for the people who don't have shadow shrike ) to have balance spear so the balance attacks could pierce a little.
But it's not needed for Balance because there's no 70-80% shields like other schools have.
well you may have a point that has been made twice but balance bosses and minions in high level worlds such as zafaria, celestia, avalon and up have a lot of resist and I strongly feel that balance spear IS needed as a card and as a tc for the lower level worlds under level 70 and over level 50

The spear spells weren't introduced until level 80, obviously wizards under level 70 have managed just fine without it for years. Balance has plenty of powerful options that do not use Balance damage, that's part of playing the school. It's just not really needed with all of the piercing gear and spells at higher levels.

never really thought of it that way my balance is only in marleybone so I wouldn't really know O:
Indeed. And let's not forget Dragonspear, which is an item card, pet card, and treasure card.
I think there are enough instances of non-learnable spear spells for Balance to justify making it learnable, even if the learned version needs to have reduced pierce compared to the others (6%). You'd think that if "presence of Balance shields" were the factor keeping this off the table, then why introduce so many item/pet/treasure versions of this spear? Not logical.
Really the only time anything like a Balance Spear would be useful would be a Balance against Balance battle when you know the boss has ultra-high Balance resist. Even then, single school spears give you only about a 10% max pierce and the Balance Spirit and Elemental spears are only 6%. If you're going up against a Balance enemy just load up on your Balance spells that utilize Spirit and/or Elemental attacks, throw in a Feint and you should be good to go. Of course once you get ready to actually cast the spell... up goes the Spirit or Elemental Shield and you're down to 1/2 damage but it's still more damage than what you'd get going straight Balance against their 80% resist.

yea idk what it is but mobs/bosses always seem to know when you attack and put shields/weakness/smokescreen up

Not quite I'm afraid. Balance spear, like Balanceblade, doesn't have to be used selfishly and only against Balance school enemies. Recall Balance's booster-of-schools function, which is that Balance players could share this charm with any other player to more quickly compromise an enemy's resistance. There are many fights where this could come in handy, such as the Cerberus battle in Tartarus. When I battled there, I usually kept many spears in my side deck so that the hitter (whoever it was) could clear the floor rather than trigger a bunch of cheats when it came time to hit.

True but the point of my comment was regarding Balance against Balance. I agree, Balance is great when boosting other schools and that's the way I typically play my Balance wizard. Boost and buff teammates and weaken the enemy. I use basically the same strategy as you when I know I'm going into a fight with a varied team. In fact I have a deck primarily for boosting others. But if I'm going in against a Balance enemy and it's going to be a virtually solo fight then the Elemental and Spirit spell route is my preferred plan of attack. I may throw a Loremaster in now and then to bust a Tower and/or add a Weakness and Black Mantle.
