How many houses?

How many houses can a wizard have? Is there a limit to the number of a times a wizard can use an additional housing slot elixir? Is it possible for a wizard to use enough elixirs to be able to have one of each house?

The initial limit is three houses, but there is no limit of elixirs you can use and you can have one of each house.
