how do you unlock obsiden chests?

Ive ran in to a few of them and i cant figure out how to unlock them? Can someone please help.

They are for a quest you will encounter in DS around level 45+.

You get the quest to open them about 3/4ths of the way through Dragonspyre.

that is a quest you will get i believe before you get to dragonspyre. you will go to all the worlds and fight, then you open up the chests. it's that easy, and believe me, by the time you get the quest, your wizard can most definitely do it solo!
