I am a level 93 fire wizard now doing wintertusk. I believe the dragon gate is in sruilund. My quest is to open dragon gate but will not allow me any closer than 11-12 steps. How can i get this to work and/or is this a glitch
If I'm not mistaken (it's been a while) you must turn into a raven to open the gate. Take a look to see if there is a cauldron nearby (at the Witch's house??). Use that and you should be a raven, which will allow you through the gate.
