I would be willing to pay a premium to guarantee a pet's success

For a "kid's game", the pet hatching system is the same as blowing your money at a Vegas casino. I've been trying to make a triple double with may cast furnace (using the extra socket). There is absolutely zero reason that you should have to hatch 50+ times before training to mega in fear of your pet failing. Even using this method it is STILL not guaranteed that your pet succeeds. I re-hatched a pet countless times before deciding to train it fully. It ended up failing at mega with may cast Infallible.

The funny thing is, out of my 5+ mega fails over the past month, I have one pet that would be perfect if I could socket a Spell-Proof Opal. I've been farming the Kalamar Raiders + Secret Tunnel + Monkey Spiders for weeks without getting a single drop - and I've probably farmed at least 4000 battles with these mobs so far.

The sad thing is KingsIsle will never improve this aspect of the game - arguably the most frustrating and time consuming - because it makes them the most money. Thousands of players all over the world spending MONTHS slaving away just to get a proper pet.

If money is the issue, KingsIsle should just implement a reroll talent feature that costs 5000+ crowns. It would be a win-win - the company gets their sweet cash, and the players have a way to train a pet without having to sacrifice all of their money, time, and mental health! Or alternatively, increase the drop rate for pet talent jewels so that it isn't literally less than 0.0000001%.

The game has been around for over a decade with a loyal fanbase and players deserve to be able to have an option to avoid gambling every time they want to train a pet.

there are spell-proof pet gems in the game and can be socketed to a pet that is leveled to Ultra.
