A lock feature on items in homes, similar to the backpack, would be really nice when placing items. Currently when you pick up a rug or castle block, the items directly above the rug/castle block will also be picked up. I have been reminded of this issue while playing around with the new advanced move tool. I just picked up some castle blocks that picked up everything above them.

I love this idea, and I agree that it would be extremely beneficial! Picking up housing items with a rug after having so meticulously set them down in the first place can be annoying and also kind of devastating. However, with this lock feature, that won't be a problem anymore— considering all the updates to housing, I think this would be a great addition! This mechanism kind of already existe in the means of castle blocks, so adding it to furniture items would great as well! ~ Autumn Fireblade
