Scarecrow should be learnable with training points through other schools (non-death schools). Why do we get to learn every school's 7 pip AOE except for scarecrow? Archmastery could have given a secondary offensive+sustain option to schools with less than ideal damage (i.e. ICE, life, balance) Instead we are given the 8 pip skeletal dragon spell to learn as death's AOE. Would love to see these 2 spells swapped out, or just have both spells as options, why not?
