New or old Spells do not belong in Packs

Spark,

There has been a very negative reaction to the newly released Grizzeleheim Pack. Although the team created some new school spells that had been asked by the community, they are only obtainable through luck if you open one of those packs.

Since the time where we created a new wizard, everyone had the same opportunity to learn a new spell, mostly for our school but others that are generic. This was done by either getting to the proper level or by defeating an NPC or Boss as a result of a quest again when reaching the appropriate level.

All school spells should be obtainable by everyone either through crafting or as you graduate to the high levels being faced with a difficult encounter. I don't have a problem with spells TC's being included in Packs as players will buy packs to get what they need to craft. You might add special reagents, pets and the odd gear which will entice players to buy them.

But to create a situation where the only few will gain access to new spells is detrimental to the game and will alienate players. Everyone deserves to be on the same playing field. You did this with Pigsie and should do the same with other spells that are not school specific. In regards to a high level school specific spell, a special quest from a scholar should be required. I believe that you will satisfy the community with this and prove that you are in fact listening.

Regards,
