ok, but what happens on level up? they get faster speed? can add more people to the mount? what would you actually get for the level up?

after they lvl up they either give u a special card (not a tc) or give u health, mana, a traning point maybe some crowns, very strong armor, ect.

Hmmm, I don't know if I like that, I'll have to think on that a bit. I'll admit that mounts do nothing for us beyond the speed boost and possibility of making helping people out easier by allowing more than one person on a mount. It sounds like you're trying to treat them more like pets. Personally, I wouldn't mind if they allowed pets to be ridden like mounts and give the speed boost, but that would NEVER happen, or all pets would become crown only purchases

I think this is a great idea! We could train them like pets!
Srength-You can add more people on your mount
Will-better rewards
Intelect-Better stats
Power-more health, mana etc.
Agility-Your Mount gets faster

I would really love to see id KI could do this :D

overall reply:

it seems like the idea is to move mounts to be like pets, and if that's the case, why not just make our pets to be used like mounts? As an example:

Pet Level 1-3: single person mount, 40% speed bonus (the way most are right now)
Pet Level 4-6: double person mount (but only show the mount owner so you don't have to change the graphics around
Pet Level 7-8: double person mount and 50%-60% speed bonus

Now granted there is a HUGE flaw in my idea; it would take a ton of coding to get it to work, and I think that coding and time could be best spent doing other things :) I'm not against the idea of making mounts better nor am I shooting down your idea either.

Gross - to your breakdown specifically, if we were to use it how you have it:

Strength and Agility: make perfect sense - the reward is fit to the category

Will: better rewards of what? in what situation?

Intellect: I don't know, I think intellect should give us a small bonus to AVOID street battles (on sidewalks and stuff not in the middle of the street). The smarter it gets, the more it learns how to avoid people.

Power: more health and mana for the wizard I'm guessing. I think if it's a POWER stat, then it should give a POWER bonus - as an example, +10% universal attack and/or defense or +10% crit block. Of course, it could be done that the each power level grants you a different bonus so that (with all mount stats maxed):

L1: +10% Attack
L2: +10% Block
L3: +10% Critical Hit
L4: +10% Block
L5: +10% Accuracy
L6: +10% Power Pip
L7: +10% Stun
L8: +10% Pierce

I have another idea that I'll need another post for.....coming shortly

Of course, another option would be to have a completely new option of the game called a Pet Mount. With a tough quest reward (even tho KI would probably prefer it was crowns only), we could get the option to combine our pet AND mount into one item. An added bonus to that would be that if your Petmount was school aligned, you'd get a bonus 5% to all stats. When we finish the quest, which we'd get NO earlier than Celestia, we could for 100,000 gold, combine our pet and mount into one. Things it could do (not necessarily all of them mind you):

1) change the graphic of the mount during flight mode. For example, I have a panther and phoenix, so make the panther a flamewinged panther or a panther of flames
2) When in a battle, the picture of the pet would be what it looks like when riding it.
3) In the case of my phoenix, which is aligned to my pyromancer schoolwise, it would yield me an extra 5% benefits to all abilities
4) The Pet Screen wouldn't need to change all that much. just add a new option next to Talents and Derby that said Mount
5) When we convert to a petmount, give us the card that came with the pet, PLUS a neutral card to come with the mount. So, something that boosts Damage, Defense, Accuracy, etc, but is not school aligned. If the pet is school aligned, then perhaps 2 cards, one neutral boosting and one school specific boosting. Like boosting opposite school resistance, or boosting school specific stats, etc.

These are just free association type stuff off the top of my head. Comment at will

Yes, I like this idea. :D! When they leveled up, they could give us spells/get faster! Good idea!
