It's a common knowledge that choosing the right cards begin to be complicated as we level up and increase our deck capacity. That being said, I want to suggest something that could make our lives easier and provide a better game experience.
What would you say if our decks automatically arranged our cards by type when in battle? You might be a little confused by that, but I'm going to explain. We have many types of cards, such as attacks, heals, manipulation, etc. If they could be automatically set in three different caterogies, while in battle, it would be way easier for us to get the card we are looking for.
The catergories could be:
General Attack Spells -> all attacks cards would be in here (single & multi targets, dots, etc) General Support Spells -> all cards that help us in some way (heals, prisms, traps, blades, etc) General Astral Spells -> all cards belonging to the astral schools, as well as shadow school (auras, polymorphs, enchantments, etc)
Some rules would be applied, such as:
* Even though it has different categories of cards, it will just let you cast one card at a time; * TCs would continue being drawn, the difference is that they would be sent to its correct category as soon as they're drawn; * To enchant a card, you simply would drag the enchantment (which is in the astral category) to the attack card, such as is done nowadays; * The deck settings would not be changed in any way, only the way how the cards are displayed in battle is that would.
That's my suggestion. This suggestion can be much more improved as it's roughly what I imagined it could be. The categories, as well as the quantity of them, names, etc, would be changed as KI sees it fit.
If you have something to improve it, please leave your comment. I want us, players, to have the best game experience we can have, and I know that sometimes drawing the card we're looking for is complicated.
Thanks for reading and look forward to seeing comments on this!
I love and welcome the idea to improve the deck card selection!
It makes sense to keep random card selection as is for new and inexperienced players because they're learning or need this. However, with more experienced players; this isn't necessary, or always desired.
With seven visible card slots available during battle; players can establish what cards get displayed in each slot when they set their decks up. Either allow all card slots to be selectable, or allow specific cards to go into per-determined slots beforehand; as shown below:
The first three cards are for General Attack Spells (single & multi targets, dots, etc) The second two cards are for General Support Spells (heals, prisms, traps, blades, etc) The last two cards are for General Astral Spells (astral schools/shadow school/enhancements/etc)

this is a very good idea, especially the last part that you posted tyler, but one question, for what level would be this option, 20 and up? 30 and up? 50 and up? 100 and up? ( if they rise the level cap ) and another question, if this would be enabled, then what would happen to the players who "wouldnt" study astral magic? would the last to cards convert to the helping spell column?
That's right! It'd make things way easier, I bet so!
@Robobot
It's not about needing help with sorting my attack cards, it's about finding faster the cards we are looking for. Who has never got frustrated for not being able to find that card they so much need to finish their attack, or something like that?
When you are in short battles, it's pretty easy as long as you have set just the necessary cards in your deck, but how about when you are in long battles, where you need to set up an attack, heal, prism, trap...? It's not something to 'make the game super EASY', as it won't interfere in drops, etc etc, but just to make it more pleasant and less frustrating when we are going through long battles.
Thank you all for your thoughts on this suggestion!
