Option to bypass flying ship animation

What I would like, is an option to skip, entirely, the animation of the airships taking you to the different parts of the areas in Krok, Marley, etc. The first time we see them, they're cute, and neat, but after the thousandth time of seeing it, it's nothing more than a time waster. yes, you can hit the X option, if it gives it to you (which it doesnt always do). This isnt anything that would yield an advantage, so I see zero harm in implementing this. let those who want to keep it, do so, but please let us who don't care to see it, bypass it. Just throw it into the options menu under "skip air travel" and voila, problem solved. The other idea would be that if you have a wizard who has completed that area already, shut off the animation for all subsequent wizards on the same account

I've never NOT had an X to skip on any wizard, that sounds like a bug issue. I honestly see no real harm in this option, but I also see no real need for it. I don't think many wizards would really mind if they just removed the airship scenes entirely.

I've never actually thought about this... It does allow you to skip the animation, but that is DURING the ride, as you well know. An option to skip the entire ride itself could theoretically save some time, considering that, even when you skip the ride, you have to go through two loading screens (one to enter the ride and one to skip) instead of one loading screen if there was no ride animation. The thing is, this will really only save about 5 seconds, because the loading screens don't really take that long.

I do kind of agree with you, though. The animations have gotten old, but I've never payed much attention to them. However, it would be an interesting addition to be able to turn off ride animations. In the end though, it really doesn't matter, and most people don't pay much attention to it anyways.

this most recent time going thru marley, I had the X maybe half the time, but that's not the reason for asking for it. You get on the air ship, it loads the ship flying screen, you hit the X, it loads the destination screen. Even if you hit he X from the moment you get onto the air ship, it still loads the flying animation screen. Why not just load the destination screen instead? The flying animation seems, to me, and others, a big waste of time.

I love your roundabout argument proving both at the same time; to keep it and be able to ignore it. Goob job :D

LIke I said, I wouldn't mind if they removed them entirely. I would set it to skip if they had the option too. It is an annoying waste of loading time to me as well.

yeah, like they did from Grizzleheim to Wintertusk :) My new myth just got there and it reoccurred to me that that's what happens there. you board the boat, and boom, you land in wintertusk. Apparently, they learned their lesson, they just didnt go back and change the previous incarnations of boat rides
