Hello there wizard city. I am writing to you to say this. The new jewels we have now are very helpful. They give us better stats such as resist and damage and they also look good. I am an ice wizard level 92 promethean and right now my stats are as followed. Here is what I am confused about though. When I look on my stats page, I see my normal stats which are this because of my gear. Now the one I am writing now is my normal stats.
Those are my regular stats. The next ones are my new stats because of the jewels. I'll write down the added ones that only deal with the added stats to save time.
So, if my calculations are correct, then my new stats should be as followed. I will tell you the names of my jewels and my gear afterwards. So the new stats should be added up and looking like this now :).
This is what my stats should look like but instead I have all the numbers added underneath. It is making it all very confusing. I am not complaining. I love wizard101. I just am wondering if maybe there could be a way to make my stats look like the total amount one I put just above :).
Oh yes, my gear is from Aquila from defeating the Gladiator in Mount Olympus. Hat: Senator's Frostfall Laurel, Robe: Senator's FrostFall Toga, Shoes: Senator's FrostFall Shoes, Ring: Alpha and Omega Ring, Athame: Cut Rock Dagger, Amulet: Amulet of the Third Sun, Spell Deck: Woodlocke Deck. My pet is the arcane pets from the bundle and they give me 6 regular damage, 9 storm damage, 2 wildbolts, and it may cast amplify.
The Jewels I used are the Clear Defense Opal which gives me 19 regular resist, The Clear Defense Sapphire which gives me 40 ice resist, and the Clear Damage Sapphire which gives me 19 ice damage.
I just think that maybe it would be much easier if they put my stats up with everything included. Not all of these numbers under numbers. It all gets very confusing. My wizard is Edward FireHammer. I am a promethean ice wizard level 92 and I am now stronger than I've ever been. Thank you wizards.
You are getting this all mixed up. Damage and resist from gear and so forth is a percent increase, damage and resist from jewels however is a number increase.
Example: Say you have an ice spell that does 100 damage, when you add your base damage percent(51) it goes to 151 damage in total. With the jewels stat +19 damage, it would be 119damage. Together it would be 170 damage( 100 x 0.51 +19 ).
So for percent stats you multiply and for jewel stats you simply add.

It can't be done automatically. You have to multiply each spell by the percent boost, then add the flat. There is no way to combine them into one number.
