What if there was a way to upgrade gear? OK, so pretend you just got out of doing Darkmoor, you snagged yourself some shiny new robes, and wanna try them out. You put them on, and it gives you the base stats. But imagine, if you could enhance it even more. Make this powerful piece of gear....more then it already is. And......you get to choose how you want it. Now, don't get me wrong. I'm satisfied once I get the gear I want, and don't want to pain myself to make it more powerful because you have to. But I think this could add some more diversity to the game, make players play more, and set goals, and they'd be simple. And it would have you make decisions that could change the way you play, for the good. Back to the imagining, remember those robes you earned? What if you could click a little icon when viewing the robe, which would bring you up to a skill tree. And the tree would follow in a straight line, with a single branch, forming an L or a T. There would be a line of things that allow you to choose how you want to upgrade the said piece of gear. For example, the first upgrade costs one hundred gold, and it might give you a 2% upgrade to damage. And the second perk could cost twice as much gold, and 5 mist wood: and it would give you a plus 5% upgrade to pierce. Then with the final upgrade, you can choose between one of three different perks. you can swap them back and fourth as you please, but their effects do vary. One of these perks could be increased foot-speed: giving a 10% upgrade to how fast you run (without mounts.) Another could potentially increase your health by 100 points. Now, these are just some small ideas to add more variety and replay-ability to the wizard101 experience. What are your thoughts?
