I was reminiscing a bit on the first Grizzleheim update. At that time, I was about to finish up Dragonspyre. To say the least, I was a little surprised when I saw that Malistaire had 100,000 health. Unfortunately, I couldn't find an appropriate source for this. There's lots of stuff on YouTube on this difficult fight though.
I would like the option to do this fight. While I agree that 100k health is WAY too much for a team of Level 50 Wizards, I think we should have the option to spawn in this OP Malistaire if all party members interact with a specific object before starting the cutscene. That way, one party member can't troll all the others by spawning the OP one when they actually wanted the 10k version.

As an option only, I say sure. To bring it back for everyone... I'm out of here. permanently. (I soloed this...and pretty much everything else do to the times I can play and the fact that I don't have entire days to devote to a game)

oh my gosh, yes please. /rabid fan-girl squealing.
according to my research (channeling my inner cyrus drake) 100k mally only ever existed in test realm. i joined just after the release of celestia, so i never got to experience this amazing wonderfulness for myself, but i have watched it countless times on ze youtube.

i have long hoped to see this option put in place for level 60+. dragonspyre is my favourite world of all time, and i love mally to death (horrible pun totally intended). if ki ever does this, i will go down to texas myself to hug them all and feed them fish-paste-frosted cupcakes.

I agree. 100 K Malistare would be awesome to fight but I bet why it was 100 K was because of a typo.
It was intended. He, along with a few other bosses (the Coven, Jade Oni, etc), were the first "cheating" bosses at the time. It was eventually returned to normal, since a lot of players were pointing out the fact those bosses were required to be defeated to continue on with the story and that was very difficult at the time. Hence, the introduction of places like Briskbreeze Tower which provided cheating bosses as optional content. Eventually, with the release of Celestia, cheating bosses became standard in the main quest line.
As long as you have reshuffle and death shield trained, defeating Malistaire with 100K health is no more difficult than defeating Malistaire with 10K health. It just takes longer. You reshuffle as many times as needed, and keep a death shield up so he gets very little health back from life steals. Ho hum.
Mind you, if the 100K version has cheats that the 10K version doesn't, things could be more interesting.
