Guys do some clothes that says + whatever %
boost work for cards like hydra or chimera whose attack is based on other schools.

Yes, they are
spells. The boost is to the casting school of the spell, not the damage inflicted. It's no different than if a
cast Meteor into a Prism and the spell did
damage. It uses his
gear boost, not his
. It's the same for Criticals.
