It's sometimes annoying when sometimes somebody randomly joins your game so my idea is to make it so like you can lock your duel if you started it so nobody can join.
This use to really bother me as well because I prefer to duel with selected few people who I work well with as a team. They know how I duel and I know how they duel and we are able to help each other. I also know there are many people out there that prefer to solo the game. The game was designed for working as a team when dueling, so that is an element that will most likely remain in the game. As much as I prefer to duel with only the few that I do, I can't support this idea of a battle lock. I think it would be abused and would cause more issues than it would solve.
My suggestion to you is to go to different realms if the area you are currently in has lots of people. Or if you are online at a peak time where you can't find a place, then try a different time when there is not as many people online. This is possible because I have recently recreated my main character and for most of my duels, I have managed to keep it to only me and those I prefer to duel with. And yes even in Wizard City.
