Do you have s spell given to you from a pet that you also get from another type of gear? Then you must know that you cannot tell the difference, which can be a big problem, if you want to stack them, but you cannot tell then apart (This is not the only example, I am using blades as one). Your pet might give you more of the one spell, but you cannot stack a spell from the same source. That is why they need to add a paw-print symbol on the spell below the pip cost. That way, you can tell what is a pet spell and what is not.

Good or what?
You are preaching to the choir. This issue has been brought up countless times and we can only hope that eventually KI will recognize the problem and make some adjustments. Whether it's a paw-print as you suggest or some other indication of the spell's source, anything would be an improvement over what we now have. As it is now memory is the only way to keep track of what's spinning around your head and with the length of some of the new spells and taking into consideration the possible number of bodies in the fight it can be several minutes between castings. Ideally, it would be great if we could just mouse over our avatar and have it show us a mini-screen of all of the current effects but that might be asking for too much.
