I was just curious how to receive the tool to unlock all of the sockets for jewels on wands or gear instead of paying at least 40 crowns to unlock all of the gem sockets.

Socket wrenches are drops from several of the Bosses in the game... the Jade Oni, Krokopatra etc. They are virtually useless! I have more of them hanging on walls than I've ever been able to use. Usually the gear I want to unlock is higher level than the wrenches I have so it's Crown time. And FYI... the wrenches are all one-use only!
