I suggested pet collars some time back that added stats, but as I recall people were afraid it would make people OP resistant (that was before Shadow Shrike).
Good idea, but it would be very hard to implement. Even just doing something like a collar they'd have to make the proper shape of it for every single pet in Wizard101. Do you know how many pets that is? Also, pets like the Snowball or the Pet Rock can't really have accessories like collars.

It's true, it'd be hard to make accessories to scale, but I was thinking more along the lines of an athame or ring, which you never actually see on your character, but can equip anyway. That way, you get can still get the stats of the items, and it eases the burden on the developers.
