I am level 43 wizard. I used training points to take tower shield and spirit blade. I didn't train anything else. I have 7 points now. I am wondering, how many points should I save for astral spells and what else should I take with my training points.

I would save 4 or 5 points for astral spells. Other than that, you might look into training up to Satyr for life. It is a very helpful healing spell.
