I don't know about other people but I think that the gear that you get from card packs like kirins, dragons, wyverns, ravens, ninjas should level up with you. Because as soon as you get past the level range for it, it becomes pretty useless unless you use it on another wizard that is around that lvl range, but still do you really want to keep buying crowns to get good armour.
