Text Chat disabled itself

I am above the age of 14, and my text chat disabled itself. The text chat screen comes up, I can type, but when I press enter NOTHING comes out. When I see conversations with people with text chat, it shows up as " ..." and my thing shows up as I don't have text chat. I do have it, I've done everything to enable it, but it won't work.

try shutting down comp and restarting it and relogging in . i have that problem and that workd for me

You or your parents turned off filtered chat on 1/13/2012 and then turned it on again on 2/4/2012.
