Why do people down rank?

Every now and then I run into someone telling me they are down ranking in a pvp match, and they basically pass or bolt themselves to death.

Why do people down rank?

because they need arena tickets and know they have enough skill to ranl back up quickly but it is a pain because if you face them you loose a lot.

There is also another reason, and that would be transcended warlord& very low ranked (as in like 30 rank) so they dont get double warlords, but like two captains or something (skews the average it depended on).
