The Fairegrounds has a few uses. Besides the games that fill potion bottles, there's a potion seller and at least two quests there, as well as a magic trainer.

I use them all the time! I was SOO close to getting a high score on Dragon Riders, I got about 1800 points! Same with Hot Shots. Those two are my favorite games. I like Choo Choo Zoo too, but I'm not good at it.

The Fairegrounds...
Fill your potions
Give you money
Give you some kind of fame (if you get a high score)
Refill your mana

How can you go wrong with that?

The reason I say this is because most people can buy potions. The gold is pretty low. It is hard to get a high score (plus a lot of people use cheat engine to get high scores) and people just like to get wisps. It used to be popular, not that much.
