new pets have different pip amounts

i noticed this after hatching a few of the new pets, some pets take 8 pips to use while others only need 6. the ones i now of for sure are;
scarecrow and the hybrid crows [life,storm,ice] - 8 pips
inferno lord - 8 pips
shadow phoenix - 6 pips
this doesn't make sense to me they should all need the Same Amount of pips to use.

just like with any normal spells, the amount of pips needed are based on the power of the spell being cast. the one's that cost 8 pips are obviously more powerful than the ones that cost 6 pips. they definitely should Not all cost the same. -corwin sandstalker, legendary sorcerer (judgement pet's spell adds 2 Random dispels? what?)
