I'm 99% confident in saying that the spell Power Play gives a power pip advantage to the opposing team (I've only tested this in PvE). Now, I've yet to answer the question whether or not monsters can actually use their power pips for school-affinity spells, but as it stands now this spell is almost worthless in both PvE and PvP.

let me think wyldfire does, sanctuary does, dark wind does, gloom does, so yes I think globals affect both sides. The reminds of the accidently casting of darkwind when up against a certain high hit point boss in dragonspyre, when I though I had sanctuary in my deck (bad memory).

All the global spells give the same effect to both sides.

Your opponents can gain power pips, but there chance is 0% unless you cast power play. No this is not useless! Yo ugain power pips more often then they do! Plus they may be using a different type of spells then you are.
