Wondering for a small while about armor attributes

I know that +3% for example to armor means it defends against that school by 3% -- but what does it mean when there is no percent as in +2 to armor I've been saving them in case they're useful but starting to fill up my bag

It means it adds 2 to the spell. Not 2% just 2. So if your spell did 10 damage it would now do 12.
