We have seven schools out there, ready for use. But have we ever thought of having to earn the right to have a school? How about... at level 70 you do a quest to unlock the school... Calamity? If you don't know what calamity means, it means an event causing great and often sudden damage. It should be the opposite of Balance. Calamity is full of disaster and destruction.
Level 1 Calamity Spell: Rock Slide Rocks tumble forward and deal 155-185 damage to opponent. Level 2 Calamity Spell: CalamityBlade A silver and orange blade that gives +40% Calamity damage. And so on.
This is just a small idea, but if you think we should unlock schools, then say so! If they seem a bit overpowered, then they should, because you earned that school and you deserve a good one!

Actually there are 10 schools, you forgot the Astral Schools of magic: sun, star, moon.
Now, about an "earned" school. I think this is a bad idea. First and foremost, this is kid's game. As such, everything is relatively easy to accomplish (most MMOs make it incredibly difficlut to max level for instance). Therefore, everyone will be able to "earn" the special school, making it not very special. Second, if they made it truely difficult to earn this special school, then you may make the game too difficult for your target audience - children.
In addition to these problems, there are all sorts of other problems that come to mind: too many spells in your deck makes your deck weaker, do Calimity spells stack with any pre-existing spells like feint, do I really want the MOBs to have access to a school of spells which are inherintly better?
Personally, I like what they have discussed with making armor piercing spells and would like them to add more spells that enhance pre-existing spells.
