Wizard101 High Sierra Compatibility Issue Solved

Dear Wizards,

Many players who use a Mac (namely those with the newest High Sierra Operating System), have been unable to run Wizard101 because of a compatibility issue that arose after the High Sierra release. The latest update to Wizard101 has now solved this issue, but you will need to uninstall your previous version of Wizard101 and reinstall the latest version to fix it.

To do this, select and delete the Wizard101 application in the finder:
  1. Go to the Finder.
  2. Navigate to the /Applications folder and select Wizard101.
  3. Either drag the Wizard101 application icon to the Trash, or right-click and select “Move to Trash”
  4. Right-click on the Trash can and select “Empty Trash”

(NOTE: If you prefer keystrokes, you can also just select the app Wizard101 icon and then hit Command+Delete to move the app to Trash, then empty the Trash and the app will be removed.)

After this, you’ll want to re-download Wizard101 by clicking the “Play Now!” button from our Download page: https://www.wizard101.com/game/how-to-download
