Wizard101 DOES NOT have Malware.

Per the tech wizards: The two lists showing the problem are AegisLabs and Rising-global, but they are minority AV providers. The purpose of the totalvirus site is to help identify false positives. So if only 2 out of the 50+ Antivirus providers are flagging a file and the identification between those two doesn't even match, it's very likely to just be a false positive. Again, if the bulk of the providers on that list flag us as clean, ignore the outliers as false positive as that's just the business of antivirus.

However, if you are concerned, you can upload your own KIWebHelper.exe to a variety of online scanners (McAfee, TrendMicro, BitDefender and many others all provide that service) for further testing.

In general as long as you download Wizard101 directly from the official Wizard101 Website ( https://www.wizard101.com ), it will not contain any viruses or other malware. You can run virus scans to ensure this yourself as well. If you download Wizard101 from an unofficial mirror site, we do not guarantee the security of the software you downloaded.
