I had a wooden cottage with lots of my pets roaming around, and then I bought a royal playhouse castle. I went to my wooden cottage to pick up all of my items (including my pets) and when I went back to my new castle, the pets that I had roaming around went missing. I still have the pets that are in my inventory but I can't find the ones I had roaming around so I searched all over my castles and dorm room and checked all the banks and I still can't find them.
